Welcome to Mills Veterinary Care, LLC

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

At Mills Vet Care, the health and well-being of your pet and family are our top priority.

As the situation around COVID-19 continues to evolve, we have taken measures to reduce potential exposure to our clients and team members:

  • If you believe your pet is experiencing an emergency, please call before you arrive so we can provide additional instructions. – We are NOT an emergency facility. You may need to be referred you to an emergency hospital with your pet.

We are continuing to take additional steps to keep patients, clients, and employees healthy and safe, including:

  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces throughout our facility and, as always, exam rooms are disinfected between patients.

Mills Veterinary Clinic is a full-service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care. Aimee Kompel has years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. Beyond first-rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable and calm, so your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting our Browns Mills veterinarian.

Updated Hospital Policies – January 2023

Please be aware: Our services and continued care for your pets will remain the same, but they way we manage our appointments are being modified. Dr. Kompel is the ONLY doctor at this practice. As a result, her time is very important. Due to increased demands, and increased inconveniences caused by late arrivals, last minute cancellations, and not showing up for appointments, we are instating a No-Show and Late/Cancellation Policy.

A veterinary relationship is built on mutual trust and respect for both our dedicated team, you, and your pet(s). As a courtesy, we provide reminders through both e-mail and text. We will also reach out with a phone call if those options aren’t available. However, appointments are made with an expectation between both parties to arrive on time, and to be fully prepared. As we are not an emergency hospital, it is rare for Dr. Kompel to be running behind. If an emergency circumstance should arise, we will always be transparent, and do our best to notify upcoming appointments of any scheduling conflicts or closings. In order to respect the needs of our team, other patients, and your pet, we ask that you do the same.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as you can. If a receptionist is not available at the time to take your call, please leave a message. We cannot return missed calls if no information is provided. We check our voicemails regularly, and will return your call as soon as possible. By giving us this notice, we can offer this time for another patient who may be in need of treatment. A cancellation made 24 hours in advance will not be penalized, though multiple cancellations or no shows (at least 3 in a row) are subject to termination of our services.

A no-show occurs when a client fails to arrive to their scheduled appointment without notice, or arrives 10 minutes late without notice. The appointment will be recorded as such on a client’s record, and a receptionist will call about the missed appointment. Regardless of the client’s location to the office, the appointment will be rescheduled for another day if necessary. We will not disrupt the doctor’s schedule as it is unfair for the other clients that did arrive on time.

Appointments with the doctor are in high demand, and for that reason we book up quickly. If your pet is experiencing an illness or injury, our intentions are not to turn you away. Still, in order to receive prompt and appropriate care, we may refer you to one of the emergency hospitals in our area. Dr. Kompel strives to maintain your pets’ happy and healthy life, but can be limited if a pet requires extensive care. Please know that we will do what we can if the schedule allows it, but “squeezing in” a pet is not always possible. Same day or walk-in appointments are considered emergencies, and our late and no-show policy will also apply to these emergency visits as well.

As a final note, we reserve the right to terminate an established relationship with or without reason. Our practice values mutual respect, kindness, and consideration. Inappropriate behavior and/or rude remarks will not be tolerated.

Thank you for your continued support and allowing us to be your trusted veterinarian facility here in the Browns Mills community. We appreciate your patience as we navigated the 2022 year, and hope we can provide the same quality care for you and your pets in 2023!

What Our Clients Have To Say

Wow! Thanks to all the staff at Mills Veterinary Clinic. I feel like you all truly love what you do! My kitty, Lola and I always have such a pleasant experience when we come in. Fortunately, it’s usually just for a check-up, but I would not leave Lola in anyone else’s hands but yours. Thank you for your caring commitment!
